Gartner: CDR content sanitization technology scores high in network infrastructure security
Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) technology is identified by Gartner as a ‘high benefit’ technology for network infrastructure security as it continues to mature towards mainstream adoption.
Content sanitization, defined as technology that ‘breaks down files into their discrete components, strips away anything that doesn’t conform to that file type’s original specification/ISO standard, removes any content that could be malicious (macros, links, embedded objects), and rebuilds a sanitized version.
Our experience here at Sasa Software has shown that for many clients, implementing of CDR, has made other security tools such as sandboxes redundant.
The insertion of CDR file sanitization into the content stream, significantly upgrades the security profile of the entire network. It provides administrators with a powerful, highly-configurable content disinfection tool to any gateway, at near real time.
Sasa Software is a leader in customized, full-perimeter content sanitization technology with central administration, providing precision file sanitization and DLP on all incoming and outgoing content channels.
